    Got to do a little exploring last weekend. Not to be out done by Lisa's wonderful pics on Montana's fall, here are some that were taken on the western boundary of Mt Rainier NP.

    We don't get all the dramatic color change that some places do but what there is, is quite scenic.

    No... not really. You can either go down toward Hailey and back up for a 5.5 hr trip, or go up towards Missoula and back down for a 7 hr trip. The "up towards Missoula" trip is a great drive, if that matters to ya! ;)

    Oopps! :eek: I could swear I set that folder to public. Is fixed now.

    Oh yeah, love the drive across highway 12 and Lolo pass. Have done it many times.

    Naw, I was thinking about a possible route next year when we do the Morrison and Beartooth meet. I was hoping to go across directly (or somewhat directly) from McCall over to Salmon and Ledore and maybe across Lemhi pass and on east.

    I prefer the scenic or historical route whenever possible. Not saying Lolo Highway isn't scenic or historical but in that situation I think I'd do Magruder to Darby again, then head south to Salmon, etc. :spy:
