Check out the Kicker CompVTs. I had two in my old 86 extended cab. They only have a 4.25'' mounting depth i believe. 400w RMS too and sounded great. Super tight sound and response.

    2 things..

    Doug..quit breaking shit..get some 5150s now haha 14mm shafts ;)

oh..and looks like you should get some new tires :D

I wouldn't do it. I have two Type Xs now i put in in High school. 2000w RMS...talk about over kill. I hardly use them like they are meant to be used. I decided i like my ears and would rather not go deaf. Even with them down all the way they supply more then enough bass. im going to actually down size in the next year or so.

To Solo Xs would just be dumb..5000w RMS?? no way in hell you need that. No to mention to properly run those subs..your going to need 7000w RMS at least for power amps..then you need a 150 or bigger amp alternator..dual batteries would be a good idea..just not worth it.

I drove 20 miles today all the way to work with the tailgate down. DUH! The hubby used my truck yesterday to haul a bunch of firewood for a job and got home so late he must not have realized he left it open. I got to work and still didn't notice, then when I went out later to get something I saw it. Luckily, I have a tonneau cover that I think kept the wind turbulence in the bed down...and the hubby had put my cart that use to lug everything around in the seat instead of the bed. All that was in there was a a couple of little things that wouldn't have mattered if they fell out...but they didn't...amazingly (even at 67mph highway speeds)!

oh no no no lol. im talkin about the kicker solo baric L7 or maybe L3 10" subs... the L7s are only 600w RMS each... L3s are lower... I already have a mono 1000w amp powering my two 8's (i know a little overkill). although i was thinking of getting the 1000.5 (5 channel) amp from kicker.. then i could power some upgraded door speakers and a pair of those L3's

if your getting rubbing on the frame then i would assume wheel spacers would help. and how big of a spacer just depends on how bad you are rubbing. u may be able to get away with 1.25" thatd give it a nice look too.

Im not a fan of wheel spacers. Its hard on your bearings. But you shouldnt need much. How much is it rubbing?

Totalled it...and by it...I mean another car...well she totalled herself on me.

Got blasted by some chick who didn't see me slowing down/ stopping for the car in front of me to turn right.

I'm very impressed with my truck's bumper, and how much damage it did to her

It basically really sucked, I jumped out, ran back and pried her door open so she could get out. I walked her to the curb, as she was coughing from both of the airbags' smoke and white powder. Shitty deal.

Hahn okay. Well I know a couple guys that have blow L7s..i also wouldn't want to take up a bunch of room in the back. But go for it haha

Yes wheel spacers will help. What size of tires and what rims do you have??

    Wow impressive! Shitty though
