You are probably pretty close with your estimate of about 10 average per person. At $3 per person you will probably lose. Have some chips and other cheap snacks to fill them up so they don't eat just wings.

    10-4, +1, thanks.

and good idea on the side stuff. will probably have some chips out too. usually when we do wings it's just wings and beer for me haha. . . like i said, it's really just a get together/party with wings as the excuse, but i still don't want to come out of it with money lost. thanks for the input.

you really think $3 will be a loss? i didn't bother doing the nitty gritty of cost of wings and all that. just trying to make sure people do fork over some cash for my hard work. im not particularly worried about it. beer im sure will end up being the primary dietary substance of the evening. i figured if we charged $5 that it would scare off more people than attract. already have plenty of sauces, oil and breader. we cook wings fairly often, just not for the 20-30 people that will probably be coming.

You won't lose big time, but if you factor the cost of the wings plus everything else; oil if you fry them, sauce, maybe stuff like napkins etc. it all adds up, and if you break even you will be lucky. Like you said it is about the mingling with friends so you don't have to make money, hopefully you can just cover your cost. I know if i was there I would have at least a dozen wings, so i will get my money's worth at $3.

if you mean beef roast, I think we got a chuck roast or something it was expensive. I browned 2 sides real quick, dropped it in the crockpot with 2 bottles of beef broth and a packet of crock pot seasoning mixture, added sliced redskin taters all over with plenty of spice on them too, cooked on low for i think 8 hours at least, very delicious, it doesnt slice though, it falls apart.

hahahaha! no i wont get hosed. i'll probably spend around $60 and make back what i can on 20 people or so. i can assure you, most of my crowd will come for the fun, not the cheap wings. they're just an added bonus. . . ive actually been doing the numbers this morning, i should be fine. especially with the risk spread between me and my roommates . . . and no im not providing the hooch.

and pkjr, i'll see what i can do about pics.
