Funny..a young girl rear ended my Colorado a few years ago. Barely tapped me but I wasn't used to a truck so I look in the rear view and don't see her lights or windshield. Fearing the worst I jump out and run over..to find this poor girl shaking like a leaf thinking I'm going to kill her!

She couldn't have planned it better..hit the middle of my bumper (split job) with the license plate of hers. Zero damage me, her plate bent up which I fixed.

She learned from that, didn't she!

When I had my accident, a girl ran a stop sign in front of me and I t-boned her. When I got out I didn't say "oh are you ok???" I said "WHAT THE FUCK!? IT'S A STOP SIGN FOR A REASON!" She was crying and I was running off adrenaline. I felt bad after, but seriously... What the fuck?

Oh did she ever! I think she just misjudged the distance, it wasn't like she wasn't paying attention and slammed into me or I really would have let her have it. In my case I did feel bad, gave her a hug and told her it's only a car..

And if I was you I wouldn't have felt a bit bad about that. Some years ago I was the front in a 3 car bumper banger. I probably wouldn't have filed it on my 12 yr old Celebrity with a quarter of an inch knock in on the bumper..but the girl who caused it never said one word to me or asked if my girlfriend was okay. I figure she got the surcharge and they paid me $800 for repairs on a car I didn't even have $500 in, even with what I bought it for.

I guess in some states, driving with the ball mount in place is a ticketable offense! Never knew that but now I leave mine out unless there's something attached to it. The receiver itself will protect the rear end against most cars anyways.

Didn't have a hitch..even if I did I wouldn't use it. Why let the truck destroy another car when I can have more fun doing it with my fist!

I don't believe MA has any laws against it. I believe it's NJ that has that particular law. When I lived in VA, it was one of the states that I traveled through to get from VA to NY so either PA, NJ or MD.

I have a small hitch in mine year round. I bought stainless just because I knew I would have it all year and didnt want rust issues. I was parked at the school one night waiting for my girls to come out of a club meeting when I guy pulled in behind me in a shitty old minivan and used me as his brakes. He jumped out never looked at his or my veh and went inside. I wasnt running and it was dark so he didnt know I was in the truck. I checked no damage to me cause of hitch but his front bumper cover was all busted up.

Rude to say the least, even if you don't care about your own car at least think of the person you just hit..some years ago I was at a dart tournament and some a-hole backed into my Olds Achieva, pushed in the rear door good enough that they had to have known. POS..

A lot of times I'll go to the store and park far away from other vehicles, figuring people will be to lazy to park that far away from the store. Sure enough I come out 10 minutes later, there are a few cars parked next to me.

One time I parked half in a space and half in a lined area. Sure enough some woman in a mini van overlaps my space and leaves me about 6" to squeeze back into my truck. Makes me wish I still had my POS Caddy so I could slam my door into her van!
