I just joined the forums after 6 years. What was I thinking!?

My 06 Tacoma just hit 80K. Only major service I have done was the 30K. Had break pads done a few years back. She's still going strong and havent noticed any engine problems.

Should I get her a 90K tune up seeing as I skipped the 60K?

My brother is a mechanic in another state (still a newb) and recommend I do my 90K. But I thought I'd ask other Tacoma owners what their experiences have been .

    Thx!

I'd stick with the service manual and do your 90k service of whatever it consists of since you skipped your 60K service. Shouldnt be much difference from the 30K service if I'm not mistaken? Are you doing the service yourself?

You could do like me and just wait till 160,000 to do it all, lol. Actually i did plugs and wires at 120,000 but that was only because a plug fouled on me. Oh and fuel filter also then. Then diffs and transfer case at 160,000. Transmission is proly due.

spark plugs, coolant flush, that's about it. depending on how you use your truck, your tranny and diff intervals are different from everyone else's... and you definitely should've had your trans and diff done a few times by now. 90k is really nothing major.
