Haha yeah i need to update this. I installed the 5100's in the rear lastnight. The ride is so much better. Now Im having trouble finding time to get the lift on. Everything is just sitting in my room on the floor. Its taking forever but school and work are important now. But on a better note i may be able to get the lift on the weekend of the 3rd.

I would take the bus. If it came even within a couple miles from my house. Closest bus stop is 11 miles away. Thats the beauty of living in the mountains

Haha no kidding. I work on a ranch too. I move hay a lot too. I drive all kinds of different machines like a bobcat 773 skidsteer, CAT 259b3 skidsteer, New holland tractor, CAT D3B Dozer.
All of my money went in to savings except the cash for the lift and some gas money.
Just curious but what kind of hay did you guys get. Do you have the round bales or big square bales or like small 50 lb bales? And how do you move your hay from point A to point B.

I worked on local farms since 7th grade too, till last year i was able to finally get a job at the caterpillar shop and rake in the big bucks...good experience, cool people, fun job, and get to operate some cool shit. Plus im lined out for college now too! Sadly im afraid college will pit a stopper on my truck mods.

^^^ CAT makes some of the finest machines i have operated. Definatly when it comes to skidsteers. CAT blew bobcat and others out of the water. CAT controls are so much easier to pick up on and are so smooth. I would love to work for CAT some day.

College will most likely and sadly put a stop to mods when i get there too.

X2 their skidsteers are badass. They cant hardly keep up with the sales and rental demands at our shop. Their tracked ones are . I also love their mini excavators and dozers. Havent been around too many scrapers yet, but the one i drove was awesome. Only downside to their skidsteers is they suck ass to work on. Things are pretty tight under the cab.

yea, we haul orchard grass mixed with timothy, and fescew. some round 6' and some 5' and anywhere from 50-70lb square bales. of the same /\ and also in alfalfa. one day we did almost 1000 square of alfalfa. and the guy has a field picker for the hay, so its only a one handle thing. its awesome. it picks the bales up out of the field, then it brings and dumps by the barn to start throwing onto the elevator. and to haul round bales they have a kodiak flatbed, (made by Cat):D and just trucks with big trailers. they have like 4 tractors, 2 big ones and 1 small one, and a medium one, which is the one with all the hay forks, they have 11 horses, and a ton of cows, and also ropin steers. they have a construction business too, they have 2 trac-hoes, a backhoe, and a Cat track skid. its the coolest thing they have. its really nice. they got all kinds of cool stuff to play with out there.

There's a guy that lives near me that puts up thousands of square bales every year. hauls 'em all by himself with a square bale stacker and drives each load about 5 miles one way to his farm. He'll do that for weeks to get them all hauled in. Its crazy

Tracked Cats are so nice. I drool over them all day. And i bet they are hard to work on. Other than greasing them up i havent had to work on them. But im sure it wont be long. Tyler. Sounds like the ranch i work at. There are a few tractors and skidsteers. and the owners of the ranch (my boss) is best friends with a guy who owns an excavating company. They have so many cool machines. He drives the most badass cummins too. Its so sweet. Makes me jelly.

And just for fun. A little flexing with the new 5100's.

if hes got it setup the way its meant to be, the stacker makes everything a one man job, cause it dumps the hay off the trailer as well, if theres a flat wall to put it up against it will push it off and then your off for another load.
