Honestly, I think you'd be wasting your time with a Centre-Mount setup. A Good kit that utilizes OEM Mounts (mind you reinforced mounts) will do you just as well. I think you require way more Desert Driving experience first (not trying to be rude) before that becomes any sort of Consideration.

Look at Tyler (TcYota) among others who have been racing in desert for years without a centre mount and there isn't anything they can't do.

That was pretty much my point, I agree with you whole heartily. I wont have time to race for a while anyways, I'll just be able to chase when I'm home. But im thinking more along the lines of some pony/tranny upgrade before center mount.

My whole objective behind this build is to have the basic building blocks to race when I stop traveling for my job. Not saying its going to be ready to race after this but I want the correct steps made to get there so there is no re-work needed. If that makes sense.

I don't really think you need more power wise. Maybe a S/C for now. Proper gearing and you should have plenty of power. You could always look into a T56 Tranny swap.

Understandable. Don't want to have to "re-do" anything for it to meet race specs:cool:

T-56 was considered. Already going to go to high 5's or low 6's on gearing for now. Shitty part about most race classes is nearly all have to be N/A engines. No boosting aloud.

Understood, but for now until your race you run one then remove it when the time comes to race. As you wouldn't need the extra power for racing really (one more thing to go wrong).

As long as you leave the larger injectors in the engine you can unbolt the S/C and you'll be good to go
