    Yeah man :) after you go past 3" then you run into some problems with too much axle angle, and you cant get a good alignment with stock UCA's. i want like a little over 3" in the front but right now i think im at about 2.5 probably. Maybe a little more

    tie rod is on its last mile... scary to even drive, tacoma is down until saturday :/

    I will be buying a 3 year alignment and camber plan so that once i lift my truck i can just run down there and get it done!

    My taco has just become a road princess in a matter of hours :'(

    Was it the outer tie rod or inner tie rod that needs replacing?


    Thanks. It is a custom color. Base is 2010 Dodge Viper Blue Pearl. I mixed in two different metal flakes. I added .08" Patriot Blue, as well as .04" Cobalt blue. Did 3 coats of base, and 4 coats of clear. The first coat of clear I added the metal flake to enhance the reflection.

    Then I can understand being charged a higher price. The inner tie rods are more difficult, and almost every one requires a special tool to remove it. They are also more expensive. Just for curiosity sake, I am going to run your vehicle in my database to see what my shop would have quoted you for the repair. I will check Saturday morning.

    I replaced all 4 ties rods with a pickle fork, hammer, some sockets, a pair of pliers, a big flat head screwdriver, 2 cresent wrenches and a big pair of pliers. Took 4 hours with 30 minutes of smoking cigerettes and waiting for my left outter tie rod to get to the parts store. Spent a total of 75$

    Is it okay to spray the inside of the wheel wells with something to make it black. Like how some people do that bed liner stuff? Anybody done that? Also is it okay to spray paint the thing that the wheels sit on? So its blends in with my new black rims coming?
