I'm more or less set on a TG bumper with light bar like yours BR, i'm just trying to figure out what Winch will fit or not fit with it, but it annoys me that the version with a giant stinger costs less than the low profile plus light bar...

Any of the low profile winches with a non-integrated solenoid should fit in the TG bumper.

Just different phases with thie kids. When they are new like yours there is no time for mods. Ask me how I know, since my last two were twins. It gets better.... sort of. FWIW, we're done with having kids now. I'm shooting blanks, and my wife had to have a hysterectomy, so we won't be dealing with newborn time requirements anymore. But now my oldest is 12, and I have a 10 year old and our 4 year old twins and it's actually getting pretty crazy again with 3 different soccer teams and boyscouts and other stuff. Now i can't wait until they are old enough to drive themselves so I can get some time again.

Congrats on the baby! My kids are absolutely the best thing in my life (after my wife).

Thanks for the link. those look like the 3" flare. I think the 4.5" flare are the best looking and are probably going to be the best fit for what i'm after.

Hey, I've looked through the first 5 or 6 pages and couldn't find any pictures of how you mounted your rear bumper and gusseted it. I love the look and simplicity of it and want to use it as inspiration for my own bumper. Did you cap the ends of the tubing? Also how did you cut the relief in the 3x5 tubing? Were there pictures on another page I didn't see? Thanks!

I used the stock rear bumper brackets to mount my bumper. I cut the ends off of the brackets and they are welded to the back of the bumper and gussetted. There are also mounts tied to the frame on the side tubes.

the 3x5 tube was cut using a 4" cutoff wheels. Tube ends are capped.

picked up a pair of Front Runner roofrack rails for my roofrack build. These have been discontinued and there were two left (now one left) at Equipt Expedition Outfitters. These are the cleanest way to mount a roofrack to the Tacoma IMO. I don't like the Thule or Yakima load bars and feet as a base for a rack because it's too tall once you get a rack up there.

the Front Runner slim line rack is super high quality (that's what is in these pictures) but I'm not using the Front Runner rack, just the rails that run along the roof. With the rails running the full length of the roof they are really stong and spread the load well. there are no holes to drill either which is good.

I've designed my own rack that will be even lower profile and tighter to the roofline that the rack in these pics. Super stoked to get it together soon.

Awesome. Can't wait to see what you come up with. And I know what you mean about the Yakima load bars being too tall...

Did a test fit of the roofrack and made plans for how I'm going to build it. It's gonna be sweet. Unfortunately I probably won't have time to work on it until a couple weeks from now. I've gotta finish up a couple bedracks first.
