I dont either, but there was no need to resort to violence.

I agree violence wasent the answer but the cop was just trying to do his job with some smart-ass reporter failing to obey as instructed.... Thats the way I saw it anyways...

This is an example of why cops deserve and receive no respect in our society. If it wasn’t for their own self glorification their egos would shrivel up to the size of their dicks.

This appears to have happened may 29,2008. He was fired but then
    hired by a different city.

I love it when everyone talks shnit about cops but when they actually need a cop they want them there immediately.

If you think cops are dicks then you should NEVER call for a cop your entire life. Stay away from 911. If someone is raping your wife, broke into your house, stole your truck, kidnapped your kid don't call the cops because you think they are dicks and deserve no respect.

The solution is simple. Pay cops twice as much and make it twice as hard to get in. This would eliminate most of the nut cases that fill the ranks. Two years as an MP in the Army Reserve gave me a first hand account of what these guys are all about.

some cops are dicks because of the situations they encounter. you know sometimes they don't mean to be dicks but sometimes they just have to. I know... it sucks but you'll end up needing them one day

    Cometkat....
I agree. cops should be paid a hell of a lot more than they currently are. The training needs to be more rigorous and the physical training needs to continue through out their career...I've seen wwaaaaayyyyy too many fat cops.

Be cool to a cop and chances are they'll be cool back. The photographer should've listened the first time. It was his own fault it went on as long as it did.

The was outta line on the cops part- but the photographer was looking/begging for issues.

I could tell you the cop was looking to go hands on as soon as he walked over...That's why he walked the direction he did and then moved twice before stepping in. I'd be interested to see what "techniques" he used....A missed control maneuver can very quickly turn into a sloppy punch and an arm bar takedown turns into a tackle just as quickly...I think that "reporter" is lucky he didn't get tased or sprayed.

I think if the "reporter" wasn't being a dumbass he would have never had the issue- I don't advocate rolling over and letting the police do whatever they want to you- but there is an argument to be made for not antagonizing them...
