    Do you have the correct lug nuts for those wheels. If the wheel isn't centered on the hub you will get a lil vibration at certain speeds. Not sure which ones you need for the fj wheels but on tacoma and tundra aluminum wheels the lugs recess into the wheel for a snug fit compared to the lugs used on the steel wheels which don't recess into the wheels.

    I brought it to Discount Tire today and I guess one of the the tires was out of round. They had to order the tire, so I should be getting a replacement in a couple of days. They put the bad tire in the back for now and the shakes actually went down to none. Hopefully this will fix the problem. It makes me think now if I went with the wrong tires. Dammmnn!

    Eibach height adjust shocks in front, KYB monomax shocks in the back. Stock springs front and back. Level 8 MK6 10mm offset wheels on Cooper ATP tires (stock size)

    this happens w/ all tires. there is no 100%

    after many many trips to Discount, I decided to trade in the coopers.

    Review of the Cooper Discovery ATPs at almost 2000 miles. (NONE OFF-ROAD)

    Pros:
    -Looks great on FJ SE Anthracite Wheels (has the beefy look)
    -Pretty quiet on freeways

    Cons:
    -Vibrations upon acceleration
    -Never balanced right
    -1/4 tires was out of round. Had a replacement
    -Wheels shakes at 60-65mph. Even after 4 trips to discount for balancing.
    -Slight hydro plane on a turn with slight rain

    After all the trips to Discount, they had damaged one of my rims. Small gouge by a lug nut. Since they couldnt get the rim from toyota, I had settled with different tires.

    I am now rolling on Michelin LTX MS2. Will give another review in the future.

    Sorry for the Cooper Fans, but they get a 2 thumbs down from me. Hope this helps for who ever is shopping for new tires.

    sounds like you got a bad batch of tires and your tire store didn't really know what they were doing. The at3's are more like the michelins in tread and alot better than the atp's.

    Yeah, I'm honestly very shocked of your experience. If I was in your shoes I'd do the same thing. It's so weird because I've had mine on for a while now and had it up to 90+ (on a safely closed road course) no vibrations or anything, I've run on a few different styles of AT and my ATP's have been awesome.

    Why? He got one of the safest, most well known trusted brands with a 70,000 mile tread warranty and 3 years of roadside assistance. Sorry I'll stick with Michelin lol. No comparison buddy. :gossip:

    Well he wanted and paid for a quality, name brand, reputable and proven tire and manufacturer. For some people including myself, peace of mind when hauling your family on that road trip across the state is worth the extra money.

    Oh, BTW I didnt have to pay the difference for the Michelins. It was settled for the damage on my rim.

    my treadwrights are just as good as your michelin's, so dont think that because you spent 700+ more dollars you got a better product. thats not how it works. i simply stated my opinion, and that the OP couldve gotten a better deal for less. an opinion is like an orgasm, mine matters most and i dont care if you have one. not looking for an argument as to why michelins are the best tires on the road.. sorry.
