I've added a few mods since the pics were taken (exhaust cans, fork brace, etc.), but it looks essentially the same.

New exhaust, intake, and drag bars. Excuse the filthy ness and the big black spot on the exhaust (damn backpack strap lol).

This is going to be my next bike. I sit on them every time I go to the Victory dealer by my house.

    Thanks

That bike looks awesome. It would surprise me if the bike doesn't ride as good as it looks.

I'll jump in on this thread. I love motorcycles!:D

Here's a couple shots of my Moto Guzzi Stelvio. I love this bike...1151cc air & oil cooled 90-degree V-twin, shaft drive, 6-speed, and a bunch of other goodies. It's intended to be a competitor to the BMW R1200GS, but the Guzzi is much less expensive, simpler, and more reliable. Comfortable for the road, but still able to handle dirt & gravel without feeling like I'm abusing it.

It's basically a big Italian hot-rod. Where the BMW is a little lacking in character, this positively drips character. I love the engine...torque everywhere on the tach, with a definite bump in power available over 4K rpm. And the sound...I tell ya, the Italians know how to make things sound fantastic. The sound is almost like Guzzi decided to field a NASCAR V-twin.

Bottom line: it makes me smile every time I ride.

Buddy onf mine got one. He let me take her for a spin. I'm a big guy 6'4", and loved how it fit me. Really comfortable and easy to stretch out on. I probably would have bought one, except the head buffeting was horendous. As soon as I got above 50 mph, I couldn't see straight from the wind shaking my head so badly. If you could install some sort of lowers to help with the buffeting, it would be a killer bike.

The 'Countrys are known for buffeting, and there's several places to get the lowers besides Victory. Most guys I know made them out of a small piece of smoked plexi, after a pattern given out for free on TheVMC.com.
My 'Roads doesn't have the buffeting problem.

Yea I've been reading that its pretty bad and I wish it wasn't. I'll get some lowers eventually and put them on to see how it helps. Diamondback is that all you did was add lowers to help?

If you look at the picture, you can see that the windshield for the 'Roads is extended as a lower already. Most guys in my club have cut their own per the pattern found on the website. It's pretty easy, and they look good, besides being cheap. That being said, the Cross Country is a pretty amazing bike, even if there is some buffeting. You won't find another bagger that handles like it, and Harley can't touch the motor for reliability and power.
If you look close at the white XC in the picture you can see how one looks

I see! I will have to do this but must of my problems come from having a short windshield. I need to find one high enough the get the wind over my head but still be able to look over it. The ride back from Houston was great on this bike!

Just 1/2" difference in the height of the shield can make a world of difference on buffeting. When I put the fairing on my Vulcan, same thing... 50+ it was like I was getting speedpunched in the head. I couldn't focus on anything and my ears were ringing. It was BAD!
I got home, yanked the shield, traced it onto some plexi, and added an inch to the height.

800 miles in one day was not a problem 2 months later.
