Hi all, just recently sold my heavily modded JK and picked up a Tacoma, hadn't been rock crawling in a year or so, and was burning way too much money on mods on that thing, so I figured I'd buy something a little more comfy and useful around the house... And most importantly, not go hog-wild =)

Got a '12 DC Short Bed SR5 4x4, had the lift parts in and installed them a week later, and then a week after that took it on trip through Big Bend. No real problems other than the need to relocate the sway bar forward a bit (will get to that later, but I just took the sway bar off on the trail to get rid of the noise).

    • 3" Pro-Comp Nitro Level Lift (front pucks, diff/skid drop blocks, and rear spring blocks)
    • Bilstein 5100's (set at lowest position)
    • Spidertrax 1.25" spacers (to keep stock wheels)
    • 33" AT-KO's (285/75-16)
    • MetalMiller Tire Holder
    • Thule Rack for the Kayak
I think all I'm going to beyond this is get a soft camper, maybe replace the grill, and mount my CO2 tank up where the spare used to be.

    Nice to meet y'all!

Welcome! :proposetoast: Nice start on the Taco. Let's be honest here. You know you can't just stop with what you currently have in mind for future mods. The bug never goes away. It's like heroin, but without being illegal.
