re-torque your u-bolts to 90 ft lbs, that should just about diminish your problem. also, would be a good idea to grease the shit out of your u-joints, front and rear, make sure you grease them until ALL the burnt black grease oozes out.

np, IIRC re-torquing the u-bolts is a regular maintenance item, but FSM states to torque them to 37 ft lbs which is definitely not enough. 85-90 is what they should be at.

Thanks. I just saw that in another thread. I'll have to do that and see what happens. There's alot of maintenance I have to do on my truck. Including 30k service, change all fluids , spark plugs and crap and filter. Busy work on my baby lol

Torquing the propshaft bolts is a regular maint. item but checking the u-bolts from time to time isn't a bad idea.

I don't have one either but I'm a firm believer in the clicker style torque wrenches over an impact gun anyways. Impacts are great for speed and breaking things loose.

When I worked at the dealer and used my air tools everyday I could dial down the tool and be real close to spec before useing the wrench (clicker style). I also had reducers made for wheels so no matter how high my gun was set they torqued to a predetermined setting everytime

I use a torque wrench on pretty much everything. But ubolts get the impact gun ;)

I have a few of the needle ones. They work just as good.

Sounds like you need to do some cleaning in the garage .:)
