    :cool: Its noticeable when I have to go through the automatic washes in the winter...if the wax is holding up Toy comes clean, if not then the grime sticks to the paint

    One of the advantages of putting down a quality sealant first is that the sealant will last all winter and you will not have the grime problem.

    Of course I do not know how your state provides traction when it is snow and icy on the roads. In Maryland we use salt and our winters are not as bad as Montana.

    If you use cinders in your state you are basically hosed. ;)

    its a mix of salt and sand...mostly sand. whenever they use salt here the animals come to the road to hang out and lick up the salt...then they get clobbered so there are groups who are trying to get the state to stop using salt.
