    the cleaning those things take don't offset the ease of a regular filter for me. my old coffee maker had one and i would still use a filter.

    yeah too much work. i'd throw the grounds in the trash and then have take that long hike 6 foot to the sink to rinse it out for a few seconds and so on. i like just being able to dump the grounds and filter out, toss in a new one.

    well that wasn't very nice.
