Maybe there is something wrong inside of the strut that is not letting the shaft extend anymore. Someone a while back said it couldnt be the strut but anything that cycles with the suspension could be the problem and the strut definately could do it.

Bent frame? My buddy's Dakota sort of looks like that and his frame is bent. I'm thinking maybe the rear driver's side of the truck is bent up pushing the passenger side down. Hopefully the frame is fine and I'm wrong though

Here's the shackles angles, i can tell the passenger side leaf pack is a little more flat than the drivers side

It was just flexed out on the Passenger rear and the drivers rear was 6 inches off the ground, the passenger front was buried in the sand, it rides fine i drove it 600 miles from Washington yesterday

Body mount? Park on level ground and measure the distance from frame to ground, front and rear.

Another possibility is a failed lower ball joint in the front. It is a known issue with 1st gens. (Ball joint is inverted compared to 2nd gen, so weight on the truck tends to pop the joint out.) Visually compare the lower ball joint on the driver's side vs passenger's side.

You can tell its not body mounts because of the uca angle it has to be suspension

It's something to do with the strut assembly, you can tell by the UCA.

Sand may have gotten into the shock piston, preventing it from fully recovering.

Yes I agree with you, but there is some cycle there as you can see the silver of the piston. Perhaps it cycles just enough to have not noticeably changed ride comfort.

Is the lower part of the coil perch that mounts on the shock where it should be? I can't tell from the pic. Maybe its sliding down? I'm not sure how it attaches.
Is the passenger side spring compressed tighter than the driver side?

The Clip holding the spring up is fine, i cant tell if the spring is more compressed than the drivers side, im sure it is but not enough to eye ball

You're gonna have to get the truck in the air to see if the strut will expand.
