    Daniel,

To be 19 and still in school, I am very impressed. You wrote a very well written letter to P&L and showed a lot of maturity. Doing this GB and handling these sums of monies that don’t belong to you shows that you are a very responsible person. You have also shown great communications skills and a solid work ethic with all of this.

When you get out of school and start looking for a job, let me know, I will gladly be a reference for you. Not very many 19 year olds I have seen have shown these skills at the levels you have.

I can't say Thank you enough!

Man oh Man has this turned in to a circus, what a PAI for you DGerm. Hope this doesn't discourage you from future group buys.

But just to confirm are the PL5200s on the way?

FWIW... I got sick of waiting for Pop & Lock to release the 5300 so on Sunday i ordered the Dynolock... I just got home, and it was sitting in the mailbox... 4 days from order to delivery...

I have T-Ball lessons with my son tonight, so I'll install it it tomorrow or Saturday... I'll be sure to take pics and start a new thread with a review...

i had the dynolock and i wasn't very happy with it. it didn't lock right for me, i was sent three different ones, the last one was modified further for the 09 w/ backup camera. i know other people are very satisfied with it though, but it just wasn't doing it for me. i am also curious how you review it.

Hope it went well for you. I remember the Exam Days, when all you want to do is sleep or party afterward.

    09taco,

I agree I had/have the dynolock and it STINKS...it does NOT operate the locking mechanism but just places a bolt in the way to "block" the handle travel preventing the latch to open....the P&L actually activates the locking mechanism and is an "active" locking mechanism. I posted that a few posts back and on tundrasolutions.com....I think mudfish is gonna be VERY suprised and disappointed with dynolock...and many of them have reportedly even stopped working.

Installed it today... it is a very simple solution, and is working as it should... I have a soft tonneau so locking the tailgate is really only a way to slow down a criminal... I am really looking for a way to keep nosey kids and curious people from peeking into the bed... I rarely carry anything other than my golf clubs back there...

So far this seems to be exactly what I expected, and I'll post long term updates...

Hmm yeah, I also have a soft tonneau cover, all it takes is someone to walk by with a knife and a bad attitude:(...I mostly want the pop and lock so people aren't walking off with my tailgate. We've had issues with tailgates being stolen...

Yup...soft tonneau here as well. Couple things to note:

One way to steal things is to look like you own it. The more suspicious you look, the more attention you'll get. Pretty suspicious if you see someone slicing open a tonneau covver.

Plus, they would have to have a knife. A curious kid passing by is not likely to have a knife handy to slice open the cover.

If someone wants in bad enough, they'll get past a hard topper or shell pretty easily.
