got a question. say you have coil overs on the front end, and its bottoming out. how would you know if your valving it to soft, or if you need to go to a higher spring rate?

    edit:
and if your ride was to harsh, is there any way to tell wether its spring rate or valving?

well wat im pretty sure they say is spring rate is kinda for ur ride height and wat not, while ur valving will do wonders when it comes to stuff like bottoming out and how it feels off road through rough stuff.

Agreed. The springs, for the most part, are there to hole the truck up and support any other load, valving will control the shock shaft speed

First off i never once claimed to be "the expert fabricator/tig welder ect on tacoma world"...i dont even tig! second why are you so butt hurt? my question was how thick was the plate and why not dimple it..The reason i dimple mine is to get more strength out of the plate while keeping the weight to a minimum. Even if its a 1-1 1/2 plate it can still be dimpled with a 1/2 or 3/4 dimple...I could give two fucks if you dimpled them or not its your choice i was just curious as to why not. And lol at the name dropping... johnny is a boss and builds some of the best shit out there imo

i went dual rate for slow and light stuff/ street driving. it almost shouldnt be called dual rate. im using a tender coil at the top and gives me a super smooth ride. my bottom coil is my mule. it does all the hard work and sees all the real work.

What batteries are you guys running? One of mine is appearing shot and looking at the different replacements.

Havnt tested old one yet but my Isolator is not staying connected with the fans on (smart solenoid) and voltage swing is pretty bad. Alternator is new Mean green and the main battery isnt showing voltage issues, just when the 2 are connected.

Looking at the obvious Optima and Odyssey but also am hearing the Sears Diehard Platinum which is supposedly made by Odyssey. Any other suggestions im all ears. Will likely replace one to start then swap in a matching one when money allows.
