Oh God I have been! Sarah and I have put down sub flooring, I've done all the electrical and lighting, she stained the sub flooring (plywood). Now I need to get my tool chests all back together and organized.

Ya know... I happen to have a spare set of headlights, we might be able to working something out as a complete kit if you would rather go that route. Otherwise, depending on how this turns out, I'm happy to help out.

I've got this project, a heated mirror project, a door lock repair and an undercoating project all lined up for the truck along with regular scheduled maintenance.

Yea I have all my soldering supplies in my office, so I'm good on my vendor status haha

And hey, I didn't vote for that dumbass. Hope and change and rainbows and fairies my ass! The fact people are even considering voting for him again is crazy. Look at how he doubled the debt, killed the economy, shut down oil drilling and the pipeline project, made benefits for those who don't deserve them, and bailed out private companies with public money! That's fucking bullshit. My children will owe close to $45,000 thanks to him.

With Obama care, my dad would be dead. He needs his expensive health care plan to cover his meds and his frequent stays in the hospital. Obama wants to take away private insurance. Not gonna happen. I take that very personally and very seriously. I'm seeing my 50 year old dad wither away in front of my eyes already, no need to speed up this process. Frankly, I'm happy he got to see me graduate high school. I take things as they go. I know he's gonna die soon, and that weighs heavy on a young mind. The thought of taking away his only lifeline for a government issued health plan makes me sick.

Fuck Obama. That's my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own. Not all young kids are stupid, most are. Rant over.

I bought a second set so I could do just that. I'm retrofitting my white ones and I have a set of OEM chrome ones on my truck now. I could just see something going wrong and having to be without headlights so I bought a second set. I'll PM you a price once I get mine finished and am confident I know what's involved. I want to get mine mounted up and make sure everything is functioning properly. The BHLM, tearing down the lights and reassembling them to make sure they're water tight I'm pretty confident with, the retrofit process is new to me but so far it seems pretty easy. I got the first one done in about an hour and I'm only waiting for Kendra to finish dinner so I can have the oven back :D

Done... it was a surprisingly simple process. 3 hours and I stopped for dinner. Unless you paint them also, the whole retrofit can be completed in a couple hours plus however long it takes you to get the headlights out of the truck.

Looks pretty awesome, i need to do that some day. I am liking the WHLM haha, is it colormatch paint or just a white krylon plastic fusion or something?

I was going to do a colormatch but I couldn't find one in a spray can that actually matched. That's Krylon Fusion and it turned out to be better than Duplicolor and Paintscratch.com's paints. There are a couple others guys who color matched their headlights. There's a speedway blue one, a red one and I believe a silver one.

Ya i could kinda tell it was the plastic fusion by the finish, it looks really good. I really like krylon, when i did my satoshi grill i used krylon satin black on the lip, and duplicolor colormatch on the surround, the krylon came out real nice with minimal prep, and the duplicolor kinda sucked. Could have been the application process but i was real thorough with the prep work.

I was going to use Dulpi-color or the Paintscratch.com paints to color match my old chrome grille and a set of eye lids for my headlights. After multiple failed attempts with the eye lids, I sold them off and bought a color matched grille. I could make the paint lay down nice but the clear coats kept yellowing the paint out. Paintscratch even sent me a second set of paint to try, it was better but the superwhite is tough to match!

The trick with the oven or a heat gun works well to even out overspray. I'm not sure if you tried it or not but I heat up everything I paint for that reason.

I went with the XB35 bulbs, 4300K color. They should still look pretty white next to my 3000K fogs. I should have them mounted up either tonight or tomorrow. I just need to wire them in and JB weld one of my tabs. I noticed the tab starting to crack so I'll go on the offensive and take care of it while the headlights are out.
