pulley removal

    hi all,i'm new to mechanics and am in need of removing the pulley underneath my 98 2.7's a/c. it is locked up and i can only assume it needs to be replaced....how can i get this done???any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!! also why has it stopped moving??:confused:

    an a/c compressor pulley works with a clutch system, if your pulley does not spin when your engine is running, usually it's more than a pulley you're gonna need, I usually change the whole compressor.

    maybe i didnt explain enough,its the pulley thats under the a/c, the one that creates tension to keep the belt on.

    There should just be a bolt in the center. The pulley has a bearing in the center so it can spin freely......probably did in the bearing. It happens.

    Edit: I'm guessing. I have a v6 not a 4cyl
