295/70/17 PSI?

Hey guys just put these tankers on the yoto. 295/70/17 Their rated for 80 psi! How much psi should i run? currently running about 60 psi. I have had them on for about two weeks and it seems ok, but today on the freeway with my full set of family (5 people) around 75 mph the ride was a little uncomfortable.

 

60 psi is waaaaaay to high. Should be under 40.

Do a chalk test to find the ideal pressure.

Way, way too high.

I've never heard of anyone running over about 38 in our trucks. Factory recommendation is somewhere in the low 30's. check the door jamb sticker.

 

Probably only around 35.
Just because they're E rated for use on 1 tons with high pressure doesn't mean it's best to run them at that pressure.

Yes. consider the load capacity for a single one of the tires you intstalled... 3970lbs direct from the Toyo Website. nearly the entire weight of the truck.
They're really aimed at being installed on leveled 1ton work trucks in that load range E.
