    Thats a tough one. Yeah the AF pays for your education but they didn't pay for your certificate until a year ago and it's only one.

    I know in the AF if you come in to be an electrician they don't actually make you one until a few years in. They teach you all the CE crap first.

    Civil Engineering. They make you do the BS first. Like cleaning out the toilets, doing the underground wiring... the crap jobs.

    The NAVY was going to pay for my education which would have been nice, but I ended getting it paid for from my 1st company I worked for anyway so it turned out well and after 20 years I hold 3 masters so like I said it turned out well. The funny thing is most of our work is GOV anyway we did a bunch at Walter Reid only for them to shut it down right after the ARMY spent all that money.:confused: We also did a large renovation at the VA in DC. Its all good I just wonder what it would have been like as that time in history not much was going on in the armed forces.

    All fall under CE in the military. You can "choose" which one you do to a certain extent, but everyone does ALL the menial tasks to begin with.

    EOD, FD and Emergency Management I wouldn't lump into the above though.
