Watching the NLCS game 1...at what point is it no longer the National Anthem? I don't understand why they need to stylize it to the point of a folk song. Not a fan, Jose Feliciano. Not a fan.

I hate the Yankees, but I really hate seeing a player go out like that, no matter what team they are on. It definitely sucks.

Win or go home for the Yankees tonight. The Tigers have been the better team by far. Yankee bats have been silent.

Jeter gets operated on Saturday, and A-Rod is probably packing his bags for a new club house as we speak.

I feel Jeter's pain (I broke both ankles this past May)...but have no sympathy for A-Rod and the 114million left on his remaining 5 years of contract...or his 38 million dollar Miami home he has for sale.

Pretty sure the Yankee's will have to take it in the shins on A-Rods remaining bux no matter what bench he lands his fat wallet on.

Hey awesome a MLB thread. Might be the only Canuck on here but love the game.

Obviously played hockey as a goalie and it was only a natural transition to play catcher (have a few knee and hip surgeries to prove it lol) and loved the game since I was 7.

Grew up a Phillies fan despite having the Bluejays and Expos up here because I liked Bob Boone. Then I saw Mike Schmidt and who cannot love that guy.

As for this post season I can't see anyone beating the Tigers now. Of course seeing that the Cards and Giants beat my Phillies the last two years to win the WS I guess I am only hoping:p

Got a picture with Arod a couple of years ago in South Beach Miami which is interesting considering they were talking today about him maybe being traded to Florida. He was a nice guy too.

Any how good to see a baseball thread.

Went down to Louisville, Ky and visited the louisville slugger museum. Great place, alot of fun. We took a tour of the factory and they were in the process of making the WS bats for the Detroit Tigers. That was pretty cool to see. Anybody ever been there?

Definitely worth the trip. They have game used bats that you can take into the batting cages and try out. I took Brandon Phillips bat and took some swings!:D

NLCS game 7. All or nothing for the Giants or Cardinals. Who will be going to the W.S.?

Yes they do. I think its awesome how the crowd can get inside the head of the bullpen pitchers since they are right there. Perfect way to use the crowd.
