Hey guys I have a quick question. Is there any benefit doing bicep curls with a regular size olympic bar? I normally use and ez curl bar cause I've been told the straight bars can put a lot of strain and over time pain in the forearms. Any advice or help is appreciated:thumbsup:

Just grip width variation. Personally it puts more strain on my wrists. Leave them for squats, deads and benches and use the BB's or DB's that are designed to do as such.

Hahaha never!! I hate when I see that. Especially when it's small HS kids with 5lb weight on each side. It's like "uh hello? You know there's pre-weighted bars on the rack over there". Kids...

Sometimes I pull the bar out of the squat box to do deadlifts... Not sure if that's bad.

The other day we had a guy doing clean jerks( I think they're called) and throwing the weights on the floor. If I'm not mistaken the weights in 24hour fitness are not the same as what the crossfit guys use. But that shit was loud and annoying.

I do the same for deadlifts.

The guy doing clean and jerks should get some mats (if your gym provides the ones that people stretch on) and place then where the weights would land.

I always use the squat rack for dead lifts. It's really the only good place to do them. But ya the weights at 24hr are really solid. Not the dense rubber kind. I cant stand when people throw them around tho either.

Got the family to get a membership to my gym. :yay: We really have no option but to go because the gym is next door to the rehab building so it's either sit and watch my dad do his rehab for 2 hours or get some lifting and cardio time in.

IDK I jam to this a good bit.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kALAQc-aX1s

I'm not used to doing cardio with other people in the gym because my apartment had a treadmill in it's own room and I was jamming on the tread mill acting a fool then I look up and see half the gym watching me. Whoops. Gotta make the cardio fun or you won't do it, right?

That song is good stuff. So is her new one, Anything Can Happen. And she sings with Skrillex as well.
