The reason I made this thread was to remind people about bullying and how its still very common in society. I was bullied when I was young and thoughts of suicde did run through my head briefly. I'm sure we have all been bullied or have bullied others in some form.

I didn't make this to hear peoples thoughts on how or what she or her parents did wrong. It seems like that is unavoidable. I made this so we can be reminded about how our actions reflect others.

Which is why you have to talk to your kids and be a persistant entity in their lives. Even if they start closing down, you need to tell them you love them, and that no matter what, you got their back to deal with anything. I'm not saying her parents didn't. Shit happens. It's horrible and I wish only the best for the family.

    RIP Amanda Todd

People make choices respect them even if you dont agree.
I just read this thread I'm surprised what it turned into, I personally feel I've gotten support from members on here that are strangers, if you have nothing good to say just dont say anything.

OR he could mean have some manners even though you are shielded by the anonymity of the internet and realize that your opinion or comments could be hurtful to others no matter how remote the chance.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but knowing where, when and how to express it is something some seem to have a problem with.

Not pointing fingers or trying to start sh*t, just saying.

This not a case of bullying. This a case of stalking. And a case of child pornography distribution. The police should have pursued this as stalking and sexual exploitation of a child.

And yes, parenting plays a major role in things that children do today. You say, parents have little control over what kids do outside that home. I say that is because parents have no control in the home. Children are raised to believe that it is okay to flash, its okay to sext each other. Its okay to be on Chat Roulette. They don't get told these things are wrong. They see their parent's drunk, drugged, having affairs and sexting so its thought to be OK by the kids.

Sadly, these things led to this girls death. My thoughts on that and the cause will remain off TW.

I had parental control in my house from day 1. Serious control. No TV, no public school, no personal cell phone, no access to computer except to do school work. It was far from jail.
