Not yet, only the ones of the headlights outside of the vehicle. I didn't finish until 10:00 last night. I had to take the one out a couple times to try to get the projector rotated but no dice. I'll get pics of the truck this weekend since that will be the first time I'll get a chance to take a picture while it's still light out. I'm not going to post cutoff pics 'til it's perfect :D

    Yeah, I know...

I believe it would be good, I just didn't think it would be that much of a difference between the upgraded halogens. The pictures people put up showing the light output don't do them justice. It's disgusting how much light they put on the road. I almost got into several accidents on the way to work also because I was staring at that cutoff line and the nice rainbow it creates :anonymous:

I really like it so far and it should get better once I get my passenger projector actually aimed correctly. It takes a little getting used to the sharp cutoff (it takes very little getting used to) because with halogens, you always get a little bit of scatter out in front of the hot spot. With the projectors you get this wall of light, the sharp cutoff, then nothing but black so when driving through a dip with the low beams, you can't see the uphill side of the road. On the plus side, you can see easily 6 lanes wide and, because of that cutoff, not disrupt oncoming traffic. I've got projectors for fog lights and these headlights complete drowned them out, they might as well not be there and my PIAA 520's struggle to make their presence known. The 520's used to outshine my halogen high beams no problem. With the high beams, it's like having the sun at your back.

I used the exterior wall at my local high school to aim the projectors. The center of the 'step' is set at a 2" dip in about 20 ft and no one has high beamed me. That also puts the cutoff at just about trunk height on a normal sized sedan so I'm not pissing off the car in front of me either.

Careful what you unearth in that search... If you just look at MSDS sheets for the stuff you use every day, you'd walk around with a full Tyvek suit, gas mask, gloves, rubber boots and googles. It's good information but can be a little extreme and over-cautious. I believe the sealant has a LOT of warnings on it so I wouldn't expect your search to end successfully. If you don't eat it, the stuff is fine but that also doesn't help your argument to use the oven...

None yet but soon all black.
Wow mike. They look freaking amazing:). You don't see to many tacos with the white headlights and the projectors look great too. I have the smoked oem headlights but there not black enough so I wanna paint them all black and maybe do the retro now. After seeing yours, I wanna do it now lol How much was the retro fit? Hopefully not too bad.

    Thanks!

The basic H1 kit is $270 and I upgraded to the better bulbs for an additional $30. Group buy pricing got me 25% off so it ended up being $225 plus a few bucks for shipping. I still had some resealing glue from my last tear down so I didn't bother getting that with the kit.

Check out some of the retros where the guys black out everything, including the reflector bowl and shrouds. It looks great on a black truck! I believe John's D2S kit is like that so you can get a good idea as to what it would look like. I wanted to keep my white bezels and sort of retain a stock-ish look which is why I left the bowl and shroud chrome. If you just looked at the headlight, you wouldn't necessarily think that it's an aftermarket part.

Yeah I was looking at the trs.com site and they had
Bi-xenon FX-R Stage III Kit for 315 shipped.

Thats not bad of a price at all. Comes with the glue and everything and I would just need to buy the black paint. Temping lol. I always thought it was much higher then this. Wish I would have seen the group buy. I could have saved some money. Oh well, 315 is bad at all. Since I never painted my headlights or try to retro fit them. Do you think you can help a fellow tw member out when i get the stuff and help me do the headlight and install them please:D. I wanna try myself but i never tried a retro fit and last time i tried to paint my ram headlights, i melted one of them and got shit from my parents for doing it in the oven lol. Bad idea.

By the way, nice pics john. I do love your headlights and want mine like yours. I think yours and mikes white ones look the best.
