    Anyone used the firestick 4' firefly cb antenna? Looks like what I want and going to fab up a mount like famous fab sells for the bed..

    ATO bed track mount for like $25
    Firestick with a big spring
    Cobra CB with controls in the mic and then put the base unit in the center console over the inverter.

    Mad easy and if you want to get real fancy put a port in the side of your console and run cable from the unit to it so when you aren't using the cb you can hide the mic and leave the cab clean and uninteresting for thieves.

    Ordered firestick firefly 4' in black with mount and spring, also went with the cobra 19 which has controls in mic and all and very good reviews as well

    I can't run that mount as I have an undercover on the bed so I'm going to go with the mount that comes through the tailgate gap and bends above the tail light

    I had the same problem... I made a mount for a Firestik... I went with a 5ft, but could've gotten away with a 4ft... I'll take a pic tonight and post it... It bolts to the tailgate hasp on the driver side, 1/8x2 inch flat bar ccomes straight out about 4 inches, welded a piece to the top of that horizontally to make it like angle iron, mounted antenna to that... Sticks up above my bed cap about 1-1/2 feet or more.
