Because there aren't too many other affordable options on a truck that look good.

why is this in the new members section but on the other hand they make good looking wheels that are affordable and easily gotten. They are sold in many stores. Given what I know now I wouldn't buy the xd's i have now but even then they still are good looking wheels

I think it's because they are the "abercrombie and fitch" of wheels. It makes you look popular or something. Like you have something in the pants. Personally I think they look ghey. I would much rather get moto metal or something that looks off-roady.

Perhaps not everyone's agenda is to look different?

However I would add that overtly, the KMC XD line looks very rugged. Perhaps moreso than most other truck wheels. Guys with trucks who give a shit about appearance seem to like rugged looking wheels and tires. Hence the popularity of aggressive tires as well.

OME 3" lift with 885 coils. OME Shocks with TSB 1.5 AAL. 285/75/16 KM2s. XD Hoss 16" wheels. DDM Tuning 6000K HIDs, H10 6000K Fogs. BHLM. Debaged. 20% tint on front windows.
I got XD Hoss wheels because they looked good for what I could afford... But I don't know how many times I get messaged on here what kind of wheels I got and a few weeks later that same guy got the exact wheels I got....

Moto metal were kinda the go to rims that a lot of guys were running before the kmc craze. I do like the kmc enduros though. Also, quite a few peeps are running pro comp wheels as they are pretty affordable as well. In fact, there's a group buy going right now for pro comps that includes free shipping I believe.

For me, it was 100% based on looks. I was down to the pro-comp rockcrawler series and the KMC enduro's, and I ended up going KMC. Not a big fan of the other XD's I've seen though. These are in my garage right now waiting to go on...

It seems like everyone loves the "blacked out" look. KMC XDs are usually shiny flashy black wheels. I, myself am a fan of the "close to stock" look. That is, with the exception of lifts, tires and few other mods. Most people shun chrome and black it out. I say to myself, "Chrome grille, I can dig it.... Silver wheels? I can dig that too."

I have them because I like them. They make the trucks look rugged. I don't like straight black, and these have nice accents. Plus, no one around where I live has these wheels.
I had Moto Metals on my last Taco and didn't want to do the same thing again.
