Thanks dude. I was gonna call your office today but our business manager is out of town. Didn't forget about you though. Haha trying to get you some more mod money.

When I'm in town, I would love to get together and do work. I'm out of town for an undetermined duration, but anything that benefits us as far as shipping, fabrication, or over-all camaraderie I'd love to help where I can.
I'd really like to hear what sort of ideas gtf has for rear bumpers. I'm lucky in the sense that my '11 is sitting and being driven 7 miles a week by my mom (if you see a Black TX Access with a steel front bumper and 5% windows and Veteran plates reading MDINAK...it's not some punk kid. It's a grandma.) while I'm down here in North Dakota and Nebraska working with the Army Corps of Engineers.
I have big goals, hopes and aspirations for the truck in the near future and the more minds to put together the better.
Good luck with the meetings and steer clear of Moose's Tooth. It'll be a logistical nightmare to try and organize a meeting unless you have a solid headcount and several hours to kill.

You need to check out the alaska4x4network.com and talk to those people they are all Alaskan and could help a lot with finding trails and meeting spots.

I've seen your rig rolling around. Definitely legit. And yeah, talk to Dan about a rear. He's not got things designed, so you'd get to kinda work with him on that which would be cool. As he gets designs input to his CNC machine he can reproduce them far easier which is great for everyone. We look forward to having you back man!

(And yes, as this grows I'm becoming more and more afraid of the tooth)

Much appreciated. I have a Department of Defense prescription for that tint. Cops don't really mess with me because of the vet plates, but sometimes you get a cop that is bored.
I'll have to see what I can do about getting a pattern or a lay-out for one of these rear bumpers...which might be like pulling teeth.

I'm trying not to backseat my interests in lifting and replacing the tires too much, but I bought a 1971 Chevy Cheyenne SWB with a 383 Stroker that's cranking out ~400hp down here. It's fun, but DEFINITELY a summer time truck. So if you see that rollin' around (it's red)...now you know who that is. Don't be shy. (and I'll leave it at that. I don't want to highjack this thread.)

No worries man, this thread is all about bringing Alaskans together, and it's doing just that. Keep us posted on what your timeline looks like for getting back home. And perhaps you could issue a few more DOD prescriptions?

So like a Toyota group one. Hmmm. Might not be a bad idea to have sort of rings of exclusivity. I say that mostly because I really want that tacoma sticker. But we definitely should consider branching out into more.

I've been waiting for a group like this! Ever since I traded in my WRX for my Tacoma I've missed all the group meets and everything with the Subie community. I work at Red Dog, so I'm not home a lot, but I'd love to get to you know guys!

That looks pretty sweet, but would the black lettering be that visible on a tinted window?
