Nothing. It's actually illegal in CA.

26708. (a) (2) A person shall not drive any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied in or upon the vehicle that obstructs or reduces the driver's clear view through the windshield or side windows.

Besides, it's hard enough for me to see under/around the rear view mirror now. If I add anything to it, it's just going to make it harder to see.

Not sure I understand the obstructing vision thing...

If my little claw drove me nuts to have hanging from my mirror, I'd go batshit insane when I turned my windshield wipers on... Would probably have to put glass in my A pillars too.

Hell, I could armour the windshield and cut portholes in it and have better visibility than an FJ or a Hummer.

Three sets of turkey spurs and the tip of an antler from the first buck I ever killed. Got them strung onto a piece of leather shoe lace. Get lots of comments about it.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
As a motorcycle rider, one of my biggest pet peeves is things hanging down from review mirrors like air fresheners, these things can make riders invisible and are likely responsible for several accidents. Some state laws forbid them as well so I don't even risk hanging anything from mine regardless. That is a neat skeleton guy though OP, I have a skull shift knob on the t-case shifter of my old Bronco just for kicks.

Exactly, I put my air fresheners around my shifter. Anymore though I buy the ones that slide into the heat vents and circulate the scent while driving, they last so much longer.

Now that I think about it, it does take some visibility away.
