Dude is high. Scope not included in the sale? Even if the scope is that Leupold whateverthefuckitistoobigpos, with the scope the rifle is still about $500 more than it should be. I would like to snort what he is on because that is some powerful shit.

    Good shit.

Also don't consider the SL a bargain rifle either. It has every bit of the LWRCI goodness in it. CHF barrel, EXO coated BCG, NiBorr coated barrels, SSP, and outstanding quality. From my understanding it is pretty damn accurate too.

It probably still works. And if you sent it back to Aimpoint, they would probably make it good.

Cheap enough to keep out if needed (I don't), accurate enough to keep in the truck and pop coyotes or whatever out to 250 or so with irons. Went with irons for this one because they're always on...no batteries required. It loves 55 gr Vmax reloads - 3-shot groups under an inch at 100 yds (magnified) but doesn't like the shorter 55 gr bulk soft points, more like 3" at that distance.

Better is better. Whether or not better is for you is a different discussion and is a wholly personal issue.

For someone that's going to stretch to maybe shoot 1k rounds per year, it probably doesn't matter what kind of AR they buy, and the worst thing that's going to happen when it fails due to bad materials or bad assembly is they'll go home ear,y from the range and bitch about it on the Internet.

    But better is still better.
