This doesn't sound the tone of someone that keeps an open mind.
This sounds more like someone that is brow beating anyone that doesn't see the issue the same as he does.

The first poll simply asked which trucks you'd like to see a diesel option in, so by not choosing any would be the same as omitting---no?

    Really----You need to ask?

Was it you that opened this thread/poll and used these words in the first sentence?

So true, if you take the time to check the poll you will see a majority of people WANT a diesel option.

The problem with this is you came in here with you're mind made up.

When you start the poll by stating "some people seem obsessed", it's really hard to come back 180 degrees and then tells us how open minded you are and how you value other's opinions.

This poll and the other clearly shows most people would prefer a diesel engine as a choice.

Ok so my buddy has just been lucky with his trucks then. I mean getting 19mpg towing a few thousand pounds just this weekend in his F350 is pretty crappy I must admit (yes that is sarcasm). And all my buddies from the oil rig and their diesel trucks have been lucky too in terms of maintenance.

In the end, if gas engines were so much more efficient or lower maintenance, things like large boats, power generators, semi-trucks, trains... would all run gas and not diesel.

And diesel fuel here is right around the cost of premium. Not a big jump if you ask me.

Excuse me? Please show me where I've browbeat anyone here, guy. If you can show that (not something made up in your mind - see directly below), I'll gladly apologize.

As for your silly objection to the word "obsessed," it isn't even a comment about diesel engines. Instead, it's a description of all those talking about Toyota's with diesel engines available elsewhere. Given the number and persistence, "obsessed" seems like a very apt word.

Anyway, this thread is obviously a result of that other thread, so most certainly plays off of it. In that, the more general question of diesel versus not was (is) widely discussed. This thread allows an poll option for the latter, obviously absent from that other tread. Thoughout this thread, I've hesitated at commenting one way or the other regarding that specific question, focusing far more on the poll or poll results.

I'm not going to defend my actions further. Not my responsibility. Thanks for your comments.

I don't think 45 psi is safe on a motor, then again I don't know what I'm talking about.

We should add, how much are we willing to pay for a proposed diesel option. On the full size trucks, isn't diesel generally a $6-8,000 premium?
