Does anyone know why this sticker is here? It is in the driver side door jamb. Is it leaf spring TSB related? I have a 2012 Taco dcsb prerunner.

I know I'm pretty worried about that loss of 7 lbs. LOL. 1 less shovel full per load could really add up over time haha. I guess it's a prerunner thing since they ride a little "softer" maybe???? himmy and seric. Do you guys have 4wd?

The law requires that the stickers note the manufacturers stated cargo capacity accurately. Maybe you think +/- 7lbs is accurate enough, that's cool.

A two dollar sticker is awful cheap insurance in case someone doesn't though.

I understand the liability issue. I am more curious what "modifications" they made to warrant the capacity change.

Most likely it was a change in the stated weight of some component.

So, say the subcontractor that makes the transmission sends Toyota an email saying that the the trannies weigh 2 lbs more than they they thought. Then Toyota has to redo all their paperwork to match.

I used to work for a defense contractor, and small changes to the design spec of parts we used in our products we built were a pain in the ass to document. But then, people wanna know what they are buying, so there is some use in being precise.
