Pretty much. Stanley isnt to bad, lol small little town but odds are I would be south of there in the field in a camper sleeping lol. I am still leaning towards OKC.

Hey Monte/Mike, Im kinda looking at rtts (for way down the road) but how does cvt rank in price compared to other companies? Like is a cheaper model really gonna be that much of a downgrade?

 

I've only seen pics of other brands but visually they all look very, very similar if not identical. Its as if they are all made by a single factory in china. Retail prices vary a little but less than you'd think.

They might. Your springs do flex quite a bit.

You can do it without jacking. Having a jack might be useful but not required.

Well like mike said they are all pretty similar. However I don't think any of the companies are like CVT. Bobby the owner is a great guy amd the customer satisfaction is like none I hae ever seen. Plus, his tents are about as cheap as they come. I'm sure they will do more GB in the future as well. Totally worth it.

Yea usually you don't need a jack..but nice to have. It's the rear bushings that can be a bitch. Just getting them on or off.

I don't know enough about the kybs your getting to answer your question about compression and what not..

 

The AAL adds lift but also makes it harder for the leaf pack to flex upwards. Like mine now don't go up as high. About 1/2-1" less from my added leaf from the skyjacker pack. Droop is a amazing still so I don't care.

However if your that worried..just get bigger bumps.

Hey dudes. I noticed a picture of me standing on a rock......WASSUP with that!? Haha. I am a bit pixelated (apparently not a word). I just wrote a history paper in my English class haha. My teacher rocks. Also I fought the law, chitty, chitty, bang, band and as always boom goes the dynamite.

 

Frankly, I don't see a reason for all the concern. It certainly can't be any worse than what you are doing right now to your current set of shocks.

In the rear, over compression is not ideal but over extention is the real concern. The shocks being the limiting factor will quickly destroy the shock. Right now you are doing both to your current set and they have survived so far. I suspect the KYBs will be long enough to not limit droop any more but the only sure way to know that is to test you truck without any shocks attached to see how far it extends and how far it compresses.

As Monte said, it you are worried about over compressing the shock, use longer bumpstops.
