Wheel Weights

Question: Does anyone know the wheel weight of the OEM 1st gen alloy wheels (16")? I have searched TW and can't find this information.



Reason for asking: I have recently bought a 2003 2.7L 4 banger. I had BFG A/T KO's E rated on my Ferd 7.3L Diesel and loved them to death. There is no question, those are the tires I want, but I'm concerned with weight on the 4banger because the E tires are no doubt heavy. Could I loose some wheel/tire combo wieght by going to a lighter alloy wheel from the OEM? I have my doubts, but I thought I'd ask the experts!

By the way, my objective for the truck is to build a road trip machine with mild off-road capabilities.

Going with a diff. load rating will shave weight. You have no need for an "E" load rating with a 2.7l IMO.

 

To my knowledge, which I may be wrong...the 265/75/16 size BFG All Terrain only comes in E.

 

Sorry man, I realized I typed incorrectly. I am interested in 265/75/16. You quoted me as I edited.

 

id look @ firestone destination At's in a C rating or a Kelly Safari in the same size and rating you will be happy....

 

Bump. Can anyone tell me if aftermarket alloys are significantly lighter than OEM 16" wheels pictured in 1st post? Say Pro comp 7032, or 7089 in same size?

I have also considered going to a 17" wheel so I can run 245/75/17 which I like. Anybody see any problems with that?
