im betting it was an automated system and the tire was too wide to fit in the rail system to guide it down, thats my guess.

Title says "Car wash people", so I'll assume it was a detailing place, not an automated car wash.

the automated one i use to go to you have to get out and wait while the people clean the windows and such and load it in line. i quit going because my 315's wouldnt fit.

edit- they tried to squeeze em in but another employee noticed and stopped them before any damage.

315's through a car wash with push rails could have shredded them :notsure:

na not autobell, but very similar. used to take it there when i got it muddy, they'd pressure wash all the mud off then run it through and wipe it down, all for 7 bucks, couldnt beat that.

Since OP won't deliver, I'll give you my very recent car wash story...

Went in with my brand new truck. I helped a friend with something on his lot and at 183 miles, my truck went off road for the first time. He paid to get my truck washed as a thank you. Reluctantly, I accepted and off to the car wash I went. When I got there, they offered a special, wax the entire truck for $10 more. Being new, I thought: "why not?". Fearful of scratches, I watched it go through the machine. Went in, paid, and came out to see my truck getting waxed.

The guy is on top of the roof, standing and squatting to wax the roof because he was too short to reach the center...needless to say, there was a human size dent. I pushed him off the roof and flipped a shit. The manager came out and apologized for the damage. He fired the detailer on the spot. They sent out a mobile dent repair specialist that came to my home. Surprisingly, they paid the $1200 for the damage, no questions and you can't even tell anything ever happened.

I am obviously not happy, but I am satisfied with the work. No ripples or anything. There is also a warranty for the future of the dent.

I'm just wondering why he has to get them on his own, and the car wash place isn't getting him new tires.

dang! and sad but glad that guy got fired on the spot! it’s people like that that make me do it my self. and why i would not want to go to any place like that. waxing i just open the doors and stand on the inside edge. if i did not i would use a step stool. kinda sucks to be like 5’8”

Oh my god. I can barely imagine how pissed off I would be if I walked out to see some MORON standing on the roof of my truck. At least the car wash made good on it.
