As BostonBilly mentioned make sure you wire it correctly so you don't kill the people trying to get your power back online.

The problem with LP is that if you think finding gas is bad during an outage, I would think finding LP would be 10x worse.

I hear ya, I'm going to dummy-proof mine so you physically have to unplug it from one source of power and move it to the other power source. Even in the permanent installation, it'll be a knife switch that you have to throw so there's no way power can backfeed.

I have an ACE hardware right around the corner and they always seem to be stocked for Armagedon :D

I'll always have 2 tanks on hand and full during the winter months. I'm about ready to trade in my one tank for a full one. Eventually, the plan is to get 1 of those oversized RV tanks and keep it on a cart with the generator so all I have to do is wheel it out, fire it up and plug it in.

Anyone have the need for any of these:
    1. Stock steel rims, Qty 5. (Spare was never used, tread on other 4 are shot)
    2. Front bumper (silver).
    3. Front bumper extension (silver)
    4. Front bumper reinforcement
    5. Stainless steel nerf bars (comes with receipt from Toyota of Nashua for lifetime warranty). It does have a couple minor scratches on the bottom that can't be seen from above or the side.

Non Truck: Verizon network extender (old place had crappy cell service, now don't need it)
