Have you had it for a while? I read or heard somewhere they were going be hard to get for a while because Beretta recently made a contract with India's military for thousands of units...but not sure what cal and also don't remember Where I read it.... Maybe its something I heard while at the range....

 

I ran across it used in my local Cabelas last Christmas and HAD to pick it up. They had a 9mm also. The guy said they weren't even in the case 10 min before I showed up. The 9 was gone in less than 2 days! I've never seen a new one for sale and after having it for the better part of a year I can't see how used ones ever get to a store. This would be one of the very last guns I'd part with, and only if I was forced to do so. Sweet little carbine!

Diggin the GSG-522, BTW. What'd that run you?

 

It ran me $401.00 with tax and nj mandated background check... It's not a top shelf gun but I've shot a little over a brick with out cleaning it and it no jam or stove piping yet, so its been a well spent $401 so far...lol

 

Not Bad. I need a .22 plinker to have some fun with. Something cheap and cheap ammo so I can afford more range time.

 

For not too much more u can get the S&W 22 that's like an AR15.... That's the one i actually wanted but it was out of stock

 

Yeah, but that quickly becomes an upward trend with me. I was originally looking for a beat-to-hell 10/22 that I could play around with but I started planning and pricing out a build and found myself in the same scenario. I need something thats fun and functional enough right out of the box to keep me happy without mods and cheap enough that I can beat it up and not worry to much about it.

 

Excuse the poor photo from my phone, but here's my 1911 project. I fit a beaver tail safety and loop hammer last night, and sent the slide off to be milled for Novaks and a lowered ejection port today.

 

Yeah, I want one too. Two actually, one for me, one for the mrs. Of course, no one around here stocks them and I haven't bothered to try ordering one.

 

there is also a 96A1 wich is .40….exact same frame with the recoil buffer, acc rail etc… really nice

 

i just did some research on what i mention before about Beretta/India contract….. The contract is actually on the Mx4 Storm, which is same frame/platform as the CX4 storm but military grade (not sure on the exact differences between cx4 and mx4)

How do you like the JRC? Seen mixed reviews, more good than bad

 

For you guys that know more about pistols than me, what would be a fair price for a Springfield XD Subcompact 9 mm OD Pistol? It was apparently bought new this summer and has had about 150 rounds put through it. It also comes with the original box, documents, mag loader, paddle holster, a brand new set of night sights, one standard mag, two 16 round extended grip mags, and 100 rounds of 9mm Luger. And also, is it a decent self defense gun? I just want something to keep on me or in the truck for those "just in case" type of situations.
