Need your opinion guys, I'm starting to design my rear bumper but can't decide, full plates along the side like Montes, tube sides, no success, full plate, or tube? I like the loudness of tube but the plate would be so beefy lol

 

Plate. The way I see it. Shit can still get through tube bedsides.

 

Who knows...could happen. Done the trail/switches once each way already. But l want to fish a few of those back country lakes. Hopefully me and the bears will get along better next time I am there.

 

The ranger told us the fish was great at Shoshone lake. I'm bringing a pole next time

 

Ben I know you just need to talk about these things but airbags?? Really?? Get yourself I nice leaf pack, one that give you enough lift and can handle heavy loads. Then if it rides too stiff when empty, tube sand is the perfect solution. Will ride nice. No airbag please.

I recall reading on gitout that CVT did run a special of some sort last winter. The guy the did the GB on gitout did some research on that. I guess Bobby is big on the "outdoorsman" type shows and sets up booths at several shows that occur during the winter months.

If you are serious about doing a GB, might be worthwhile to get ahold of Pritchnakof. He is the guy that organized the GB Monte and I joined.

CVT must have had a lot of tents in stock because there was no delay in getting one once you paid. I think they sold like 40 of them during the GB.

I paid $695 plus gas money to go pick it up.

To pick up the RTT? CVT is in Bend, Or. A wonderful and scenic drive through the Or Cascades.

About 600 miles round trip. 30 gal of gas. Call it $110.

 

And I wish you would fix your sig. That gitout link is no good. If you gotta have one, point it to a good spot on there.

 

I think you need to come over so we can go run Browns Camp/TSF near Portland. Then afterwards you can swing by Bend on your way home.

 

Hey i was talking to a guy in yellowstone as they came over to ask me about my bumper and he said there was a trail that ran like north to south all the way through OR???

A trail? Were they any more specific regarding location? Like westside? West of the Cascades? Or. is a huge, diverse place. A little like Wa in that the westside is verrrrrrry different from east of the Cascades and all. Much of Or. is more like southern Idaho. Higher and drier.

 

nope All he asked was if we had done it after i told him of our other expedition. He didn't know what it was called either..
