Wrong again Buddy. There is a lot of scencery there. The trails range from impossible to way easy with everything in between. But every once in a while there will be this spectacular view thrown in.

TC and Allpro both make kits that only push the width 2'' out for 2nd gen tacos. That looks like a TC kit and only a 2'' one. so no different then when i had stock fenders..sept they have better travel.

 

Yeah, you would go nuts in that place. They got one trail called Can Opener. It is a series of 5-6 ft waterfalls (dry). The banging coming off of the raisin and bobert's truck (another hardcore guy) was amazing.

I went up there with the intent to set up my own little jib session and just play around, but when i got up there I met a couple of guys who had just gotten there and were about to start setting up the pipes. I ask them If i could join them and of course they didnt care, since ski people are all chill and friendly, also because I brought a shovel. Before I know it i come to find out that there are more people on the way, and by the time everything is set up there were 16 people up there all hanging out and riding. After it got dark they pulled out a grill and cooked hot dogs and chilled.

First time riding this year. Literally the best way to kick off the season I have ever had.

On a side note, I am getting god awful mpg. Like 16 (2 mpg decrease from a couple months ago) on my last tank and its like 80% hwy. it's upsetting how bad my mpg are. Maybe it's cuz I haven't changed the oil in a little while? I dunno that's the only thing I can think of. I don't like my shit mpg, I feel like monte

Lol I love where the spare is mounted. Like its impossible to change the tire anyways but could luck getting it down and putting the other tire back up there.

 

Yes...that FJ is Larry Ellison out of Bozeman and his wife Linda. They are at Moab right now. They were my tour guides on Morrison. Larry did not think my rig would make it due to my longer wheelbase (116 vs 106 inches) but my Jeep has a tighter turning ratio so I was able to make it down and back up again with some work.

Larry was my first real off road mentor and taught me a ton about running "on" deep snow.

 

My MPGs typically drop this time of year. And not just in the Tacoma. Even the Corolla was down this last tank.

Not sure how other states do it, but here they go to a 10% ethanol mix during the winter months.

It doesn't seem like going down those switchbacks would be near as much fun as going up.

BTW: Very nice article about your club and its efforts. Good press for offroaders is hard to come by. Great job.
