Hey Homer, how did you solve the issue of the intake coming out into the fender?

Edit: Nevermind, I just saw that you are running a snorkel. It seems that's what everyone is doing, and may be what I end up having to do.

 

Just out of curiosity... If I were to make a few sets of these stock sectioned flares who would be interested?

I cut up mine and riveted them into place.

did i say 2nd gen i meant that this is a beautiful project and i would love to see the final results on a more reliable and far superior 1st gen

 

I was so frustrated with those goddamn stock fasteners on the liners that I just left mine off!

Reality is that this set I have now is serving several purposes:
1. I'm trying a set of stock flares and not aftermarket ones.
2. I'm using a new fabrication process
3. I'm helping out a local member & friend at the same time.

Provided things go the way I want them to I may be able to offer them for sale on a limited basis.
- Hence my question as to who would be interested.

I would guess a final cost in the $500 -$600 range

 

Well keep me in mind IF you decide to make/sell them. I'm not in any hurry and I know that you are still in the development stages, I saw the question asked "who would be interested" and figured I'd get my name in the hat early just in case.

If not I'm probably gonna end up doing something similar to what Grimm did and just hack em but I figured since the truck is an 11' I might as well try to do it clean.

I am in. I'm headed out to the garage today to do some more cutting on my current set in prep for 35's but fully expect them to still rub. So a set of these would work perfect.
