    How do you take off the factory side steps? Theres two bolts that is holding it on. Water issues??

    getting there....
    get two bolts of the same thread pitch...just shorter, and put them back in when you remove the steps.....otherwise, no real need to worry about water getting in i dont really think.

    Or get the plastic plugs from an Auto parts store that insert into the holes.

    would it be good just to have a little bit of silicone around the base of the screw head just so some accidentally get in bw the screw and the body
