It pretty much sets you up for a career in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Courts etc. Bureaus that hire CJ graduates include Police, Sheriff, CDCR, Customs and Border Patrol, US Marshalls, etc. I don't have much interest in being a LEO so I'm gonna try to get into paramedic school next and see about getting on the fire department.

If thats the case you might want to start taking your First aid - EMT- Paramedic courses, and also do all your Fire Science /Academy as well like I did. That gets you in as long as there are jobs and I believe there are more jobs now then there used to be so you have a better chance, and a BA/BS helps when you apply at the dept in the future.

Good luck and keep at it, if you can get in the FF you will be set for life.

So like 5 days into my Jeep project (rear coilovers, bumps, straps) I came to the realization that the work I have done thus far has been for nothing.

Turns out all the custom parts I fabricated, everything I cut (wheelwhels, frame notching) is pretty much in the wrong spot due to the arc of the tire travel since a straight axle changes angles when it moves up and down.

I got it to fully stuff while drooping the other side with no interference, however when I try the opposite I get interference BAD before it even has a chance to droop even 4 inches with the other side stuffed.

GAH!! Now I am rethinking my attack, going to try and remount the shocks with an angle toward the front of the truck to hopefully clear the tire.

If it doesnt work I am pulling the body and going APESHIT! Then I will make it work. I DO NOT FAIL! I persist.

Makes it more difficult when you dont have many friends to lend you a hand. I guess thats my fault for being so Reklusive, I guess being an only child has made me that way, lol.

If anybody is bored and wants to come check out the carnage let me know and stop on by, its always nice to have somebody point and laugh, and say WTF were you thinking!?

Oh well time to go stare at my Jeep some more. I swear to god when I get it done it better feel like I am riding on a balloon across the Desert. OK maybe not, but hopefully its 100x better than before or I am going to kick somebodys dog! Not really, I will just scream for a second and it will all be OK.

Oh damn I gotta go get that jack today, such a lagger, been working till 10 at night every evening fiending on this damn Jeep, gotta go get that thing today! Im srry Rodrigo, didnt mean to wait so long, just been so balls deep in this thing ts rattling my brain

Haha, about to start breaking shit, normally dont get so frustrated, all these problems are starting to take their toll. I have to go have some fun before I snap, lol. But I appreciate your willingness to come point and laugh.

No problem, I went through it, so I know the drill, good luck and keep at it!

Persistence is key to success, and if that doesnt work punch someone in the face! Haha

thats cool, if the mechanic thing doesn't work out being a fish and game warden looks interesting.

1 quart every 5k....Hmm,any oil leaks? any smoke at all ? Probably losing it thru the valve guides if compression is about equal in all cyl. (within specs) & is running ok...

i haven't noticed any leaks. no smoke that i've seen but i don't drive it a lot.
i'll see if i can check compression.
i need rodrigo to get that LT kit so i can buy his fenders so i can drive my truck without the spacers, then dad can take it to work and have someone work on it for free.
oh, and he runs good, except every once in a while he'll stutter, usually when he's under load trying to get up a hill.
he can still spin the tires and drift fine.
