Hey guys, I'm new to the forum mainly because I just bought my Tacoma a few months ago. It's a 2012 2.7 Reg Cab and I love it!!! But I'm wanting new wheels and tires ASAP. Was just hoping to get some good ideas/feedback from you guys. Not sure yet if I wanna lift it. It has 16s on it stock. Any idea how big I could go? definitely wanting some thick tread mud tires...

without a lift or wheel spacers, the biggest you could go with minor trimming would be 265/75/16's, which is good, there are alot of tires in that size, and fairly common to find a decent set on craigslist for short money. if you lift, most run 285's, but you could go with 305's, which are just a little wider. obviously you would need to get wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels with 4.5" of backspacing in order to not have the tires rubbing the UCA's. i had a reg cab, and loved it. welcome to the forum!

Do you really need to do any trimming for 265/75/16's ? that's not even a full inch bigger
