I stopped off at my moms marina on the way home to make sure all the boats were out and shut off all the electric. Main road was flooded 1-1/2 hrs before high tide. Not sure if the Taco will make it down the road tonight, so I may have to go in by foot which will blow.

tonight's 12am high tide should be even higher and the crest will be tomorrow around 1-3pm.

Wow they are calling for 6-11 feet of storm surge for me. I might be screwed, my road floods when high tide is 2 feet above normal.

Sounds like you are screwed for sure.

If it makes landfall early and comes up the Delaware River I know we are. The surge will push all the water up river at high tide with a full moon. Just about the worst case scenario possible. We are forecast a 6' surge, but like you we flood at high tide. I saw roads flooding this morning so tomorrow will be hell for sure.

Riding this out in upstate NY. Peanut butter, saltines, water, and a fully charged juice-pack so my iPhone (phone/flashlight/internet/email/games/music) won't die. :D Only thing stopping me from going to work this week is a power outage. Really wish my truck was here, though. :(

Ya we have already had some flooding at high tide this morning also. My house is on a small hill so i should hopefully be fine, but i am definatley not going anywhere during high tide, unless its in a kayak. Good luck tomorrow!

Here is a link to a livestream feed from Wildwood, NJ flooding at street level (might be the 'Crest side of the street), about a block from No Bones. You can identify the east side of the Boathouse Bar/Restaurant.

Some people need electricity for their water to work, like if you have a well with a well pump. During irene my friend had no running water for 8 days.
