Yes at work the exact same thing happens when I enter my parking garage the antenna slaps the overhang that tells you if you vehicle is to high. If I could find a good quality antenna that is shorter I would get it. I don't like the rubber antennas.

I've heard the AntennaX don't fit very well to the base (leave a gap). Do you have any close-up pics? I've been wanting a shorter antenna as well, but I don't want to lose reception. Been thinking about going the S2000 route, but still on the fence.

You can just trim your antenna. Use bolt cutters to trim to where you want it and put it back on...You can super glue the little ball thing back on if you want a more OEM look. I just used electrical tape to cover the top where I trimmed it.

Here's a closeup pic. No gap. Fits great and works great in my opinion.

thanks, i was unsure about them at first but knew i didnt want to beat on my konigs, so i put the daily drivers on the konigs and got the trail tires mounted to a set of first gens that i sprayed black. that way if i rash them then a quick spray and they look fine again.

Unfortunately it's not Prime. It ships directly from AntennaX. But it's still $5 cheaper to order it through Amazon that directly through AntennaX :notsure:
