Bolt it on and done. Resetting the battery won't hurt.

I prefer to see some backup before dropping dough...this way I have nice pretty graphs to show the wife and say "see how the red line is higher than the blue line, that means more horsepower which means I need it..." Works every once in a while

I dont have a Toyota so it is hard for me to get test time on one. Our test truck and dyno runs didnt come out well at the time. Not sure if the ABS brakes were kicking in or other factors; as we did smell something burning while running the dyno. However my spacer is similar in specs to the NST spacer which does have proven dynos here by Toyota people->

The only thing holding me up is to get gaskets figured out and to write up my install instructions. Other than that, if guys do want to go forward with this, I just need to get some $ to the CNC guy and get them rolling! Thanks for the interest guys! I am definitly wanting to get these made, and am sorry for the long wait. When I started this thread I was unemployed so I had alot more time; I am now working a temporary but full time job with a large company do IT work and just havent had much free time. You can use this link for purchase(use the bottom group buy buttons for the 215 price)-> http://extremetruckperformance.com/?page_id=300 Once I get 10 together I will get them made and then sent on out to you all. Be sure to include Forum User name, color preference, truck year, Thanks!

The dynos we did, did not result well due to issues with that truck. I also dont know the Toyota setup that well and something appeared to be holding the truck back. ABS? something was smoking, it seemed like the brakes were kicking in or something. It seemed as though the computer was overcompensating for the spacer. I've already spent over 500 bucks testing and creating the prototype. I know they work; the guy who ran it on his truck for 2 months knows it works. All the people who bought NST spacers know they work. NST has proven dynos on theirs. Mine is not that much different. Any one of you complaining who wants to come here and get things rolling and dyno your truck, we can test again. There is a dyno shop within about 15 minutes of here. I havent had the time or another truck to test on. My prototype spacer is sitting here, I cant give away the one I have but anyone willing to help out with the process will benefit! Thanks.

There have already been three dynos done. One by NST, one by me, and one by the OP. Plus the many in between.

Two were on autos. Those can only start at over 3k rpms or they will down shift during the pull. As well, the ABS plug needs to be disconnected.

There have been tons of people on the XR forum whom have purchased and enjoyed the benefits. It isn't going to make you truck feel like a V8, but it will give you noticeable gains. Take it or leave it.

Thanks, exactly , those who have tried this know the benefits and have felt the extra power it adds. I am working with someone who is will to drive here for some more dyno tests. Im sure they will reflect on their experiences afterwards. Once the holidays are a bit clear (and the roads too, lol) we will be meeting up to do some more tests. Sorry on such a long drawn out process. I was unemployed for close to 3.5 years so I had tons of time; I just started a new job 6 months ago. Its cut into my free time in a big way, haha anyhow its taken time to get readjusted to having something that takes up 9 hours of your day, every day, lol

Why do people buy these?? Why would placing the throttle body further from the intake valves produce any more power? It doesn't.

All things considered, longer runners equal more torque and shorter runners mean more HP. In the simplest form.

Its not the TB, it makes the runners longer like Tor stated which in turn changes the air velocity in the manifold tract. In many cases this will produce a change in where TQ/HP is made and on the plus side.

Anyone has installed and who has run one knows the benefits, everyone else really shouldnt comment on whether they work or not since they have no experience using one. In the next couple weeks as its getting warm here, I have been in contact with a couple members and will be doing more testing so that the doubters can have their proof.
