    Gorman is less than an hour away from me, but I always find myself driving two hours to go to lucerne or 1.5 hours to go to Barstow :D

    This isn't some random guy trying to tune his truck. Its a major company, Im sure they did their R&D and whatever else necessary to get it to a happy medium on and offroad.

    I have seen lots of stock vehicles jump without issues, and that is with crap suspension. What makes you think you cant jump a mid travel suspension without issues

    Make the rebound as light as you can. 30 still has a 0.020 shim in there for the smallest shim. Drop that to a .008 too. You said it 25 was etched into the outside, so just mic the shims and find out what's in there before buying new shims.

    As for compression, you've got smooth bodies. 65 seems heavy for one spare and smooth bodies. If it were my truck, I'd run a flutter stack starting out at 50.

    You opened them up and mic'd them or just going off what's written on the outside? Rebound shims are on the top (shims closest to the top nut).
    Either way, valves are valves. You can use the compression shims on the rebound side and vice-versa.

    Ok so what does Fox "25" valving correlate to in terms of each valve size and thickness?

    As I said earlier, compression and rebound shims are all the same. Yes you can flip the stacks, but rebound shims have 1 less shim than compression shims (no 1.8" shim). Either way, it would still be too stiff for your setup.

    Since your rebound and compression shims seem upside down, is your piston facing the right way? Rebound side should have 4 circular holes where the compression side has 4 oval/oblong holes.
