Creepy clown FTMFW!!!!I was cracking up at my creepy duckface.

Dude just run over a pumpkin in your truck. Pumpkin carving...Taco Syle

That F'ing song...so infectious. I heard one of my g/f's preschoolers singing it the other day. There's something to be said for a 3-year old kid running around singing "Heyyyyyyy sexy lady!"

Messing around with the Windows 8 customer preview. This thing sucks. Everything is counter-intuitive and really a time waster

from the guys at enu i spoke to, they said it was mainly for touch screen, they didn't answer some of my other questions as they didn't have enough experience, but I am sticking with 7.

Not looking forward to it. It's like they took the newest Windows Mobile platform and made it standard.

I don't mind 7, but I still run XP Pro on my laptop :anonymous:

Past 'bad' versions of Windows suffered from stability, and mobile platforms were clunky with speed. I don't see that problem here. It's freaking fast and I haven't heard of crashing. I can see it being very good for phones, even though I haven't messed with theirs much. However, from a mouse/keyboard desktop, there's too much moving to the edges, hovering and waiting, or needing a key combo to reveal hidden stuff. Also, the dual desktop (classic and modern - yes, they are calling it modern because there was some legal issue with calling it metro) is going to kill things until they can do a true crossover.
For instance, IE10 modern loads in full screen mode (for an example on your Win7 machine, load IE and press F11 and wait for the address bar/tabs to disappear. In IE9 that's not too terrible because hovering the mouse at the top of the screen will reveal the address and tabs. In IE10, you need to press Windows+Z (or press the right mouse button in a free area of the web page, which you would think would bring up the contextual menu...), which splits the screen into three (see below).
If you want to move between tabs, you click the giant icons at the top, if you want the address bar, go to the bottom. After you make your selection, they hide again, and I haven't found a way to make them persistent. Also, they are huge, so it's not something I want to see.

Everything in the modern desktop uses full screen mode, too. I have a sizeable enough screen in my laptop that I like to have multiple programs display at once. Not an option in Windows 8, except for a strange 'dockable' area so you can get up to 2 apps :p
Also, Alt+Tab and Windows+Tab switching is gone. You have to move the mouse to the bottom left corner, wait a second, move upwards along the left edge, then select your app. I like touching the mouse as little as possible if I can keep planted on the keyboard, so it feels like I'm being punished for those habits. Instead, I've been hitting the Windows key to 'minimize' my current app, then grab the mouse and re-launch the other app I was using.

in the classic setting is everything normal? like the shortcut commands and stuff(atl+tab), and does it allow you to "snap" windows to the side?
